It’s hard to get good coupons for computer hardware. Profit margins are tight for retailers and the market is super competitive. Its very rare that we have much more than 5%-7% discounts. We do however often have discounts on shipping. That can make up another 5-10% of the total cost of your order so it is actually a pretty good savings.
General Hardware
Buy.Com coupons are very popular but they are never very generous. We often have $10 off $150 in Computers and Electronics but that is about as good as it gets. Buy.com has very good prices to offset the fact that the coupons are not stellar.
Other general hardware stores like BestBuy, RadioShack and Circuit city almost never offer real coupons. What they do have is weekly sales. Items like Hard Drives and Monitors are only worth buying on sale. Check out the links to the weekly fliers in each store. Often, we will also list WEB ONLY sales from Circuit City and other stores.
Overstock.com always has a variety of coupons around. Their computer hardware is sometimes open-box but I have had no trouble with my particular orders. You can save about 7%-10% using Overstock.com coupons and also watch for the dollar shipping offers they sometimes have. Our newsletter is a good way to keep up. If they actually have what you are looking for, Overstock is a good option for buying computer hardware.
Lastly the Epson Store always has some good deals on particular printers and cameras tat they are pushing. If you are looking for an Epson printer, be sure to check out their current sale items. The direct-purchase sale items are often cheaper than at general retailers.
Ink Coupons
I wouldn’t buy ink without a proper coupons. The ink stores often offer very nice coupons. It is not unusual to find as much as 20% savings on large ink orders. Check out the AllInk Coupons and deals area and also the Carrot Ink Coupons page.
Desktop and Laptop Coupons
By far, the best coupons we get for computers are from Dell. The Dell Coupons page will very often have 20% or more coupons for many desktops and laptops. XPS coupons are rare and never ever go above 10%. Also, the accessory coupons that dell offers are sometimes fantastic. They can get all the way up to 33% or more on very select items. Dell coupons are updated about twice a week
Toshiba rarely has real coupons but we often list their free shipping or rebate deals on the Toshiba Coupons page. Similarly, Gateway does not offer great coupons but often has a sale on a particular laptop or desktop for the month.
